simple seaweed snacks

Why not try something new? It might sound a little different, but seaweed is a super-nutritious food that tastes sweet and salty. It’s rich in iodine, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and vitamins A, B, C, D, E, K, and can help support our metabolic rate.

You will need

– 300g dark chocolate

– 1 banana, mashed

– 200g cream cheese

– 30g protein powder

– 200g ground almonds

– 1 tablespoon chopped dried seaweed

– ½ teaspoon cinnamon, ginger, or other spice of your choice

– 1 tablespoon of desiccated coconut (optional )

 

Preparation:

  1. Soak the seaweed in warm water for 10 minutes
  2. Add all ingredients (bar your chocolate & coconut) into a bowl.
  3. Melt the chocolate in a separate bowl
  4. Gently add your melted chocolate to the bowl with all your ingredients
  5. Mix everything together until well combined
  6. Scoop out small sections of your mixture & hand roll into balls
  7. Roll the balls over a plate of desiccated coconut (optional)
  8. Place on a plate/dish & refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
