When each day feels the same,
And you don’t know who you are,
When you have no identity, no name,
And a life resembling freedom feels so far,
Then one day, you wake up feeling bright,
Working on getting to know yourself, chipping away,
The brightness grows and grows, taking flight,
Taking you with it to bright blue skies,
Ever hopeful for a free, bright future,
You jump in for the ride,
Optimistic, eager, ready for a whole new picture,
Ready and willing to take it all in your stride.
