Preparation time: 15 – 20 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
400g plain flour
1 egg
150g margarine (room temperature)
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Place all the ingrediencies in the bowl. Mixed with a wooden spoon for few minutes. You can use your hands to give a good mix to make a smooth dough.
Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 3mm to 4mm.
Cut your circles, big enough to add your filling. You can use a glass or a cutter.
Place cut circles on a baking tray.
For a filling I used today the left-over of cranberry sauce from Christmas mixed with a little bit raspberry jam – taste great.
You can use any jam or custard or even cheese if you would like a savoury tarts. Anything is possible:)
You can make small smiley faces :) from your left pastry pieces and place them on the top of your tarts.
Preheat your oven gas mark 6
Bake for 15 – 20 minutes until golden.
After you take your tarts from the oven, cool them completely before you enjoy them
So simple so delicious
Hope you like them
Marie:)
