Marino Therapy Centre will again be running their training day for Guidance Counsellors & Teachers, covering the topics below on Monday 6th March 2023.
Marino Therapy Centre has over 30 years experience teaching people and professionals how to achieve freedom from many types of Emotional Distress, including Self Harm, Suicide, Eating Disorder/Distress and various OCDs.
This unique one day workshop aims to have each attendee feeling equipped and competent when they are faced with such challenges in the school environment.
Our training will be facilitated by Marie & Jacqueline Campion who combined, have over 40 years experience in the area of Recovery from ED, as well as their own personal experiences of being fully recovered.
Marie Campion is the Founder of Marino Therapy Centre, author of “Hope : Understanding Eating Disorders”, and has developed and applied “The Psycholinguistic Motivational Model”, to her work in the area of Eating Distress/Disorders for over three decades.
Jacqueline Campion is the host of ED Recovery Podcast “Calling It Out” and has been working in the area of Eating Distress/Eating Disorders for 12 years. Jacqueline has spent the last decade delivering schools talks, facilitating recovery groups and working one to one with clients on their journey to full freedom from Eating Distress.
The training day will cover issues including:
- Understanding Anxiety, Self-Harm, Suicidal Ideation and Eating Disorders/Distress
- Application of Psycholinguistic Motivational Model
- Practical Skills for managing & assessing Anxiety
- Dealing with students with potential Suicidal & Self-Harming thoughts
- How to effectively deal with Body Dysmorphic Disorder/Body Dysmorphia in Students
- Neurodiversity & Eating Disorders /Eating Distress
