a lil date with dates

We are back this week with another Recovery recipe. It is simple and satisfying. Learning how to experience satisfaction is a crucial ingredient when we are learning to free ourselves from an Eating Distress. We invite you to give this a go. Delve in and use your senses. You will need :

  • A cake tin 19cm (7 inch) in depth
  • a bowl for mixing
  • 300g soft cheese(Philadelphia)
  • 4 eggs
  • 100g chopped walnuts
  • 160g ground almonds
  • 10g chopped dates
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger

 

Method :

  1. Grease and line your cake tin with greaseproof paper
  2. Preheat oven at gas mark 5
  3. Mix all ingredients together in your bowl and pour into the baking tin
  4. Decorate the top with a few walnuts or dates
  5. Bake for 30minutes and gas mark 5 and another 30minutes on mark 3
