From the day we were born, our environment has had a strong influence on us. We don’t always pay enough attention to this fact and we’re not always properly aware of it either. When we are put in close contact with other people, flecks of their character, behaviour and values cross over and embed themselves in us.
This crossover can be good for us or it can have very negative consequences on our feelings about ourselves. |

Monitoring self-talk is one of the most important areas of your thinking that you need to change. Every word you say to yourself is connected with a feeling and changing the way you feel can start with changing the way you are talking to yourself. Let’s do a little exercise |

Appreciate your creativity and use it in learning to cook. Give yourself a lot of credits for being open to start seeing cooking in a different way, a more open way.

For people with eating distress the body seems like an obstacle to be overcome. We need to learn to explore a new relationship with our bodies. Our preoccupation with our appearance goes much deeper than the outer image. The body is a basic part of who we are, and it affects the choices and psychological issues we pursue.
