Self-Help Tip of the Week: Imagination

“Reality is not only more fantastic than we think, but also much more fantastic than we imagine.”
(John Haldane)

Our imagination is something we are born with. Our senses play an important role in imagination. Using our senses this way can be important aspect in our recovery. It can help us to achieve our aims.

The trouble is that sometimes we lose our ability through lack of practice. Our imagination is like our muscles in our body. If we do not make full and regular use of it, it will become weak and flabby.
Today let go all that calculating, logic thinking and reawaken your imagination and make full use of that precious possession of yours.

Sit down in a comfortable position, maybe switch on some soothing music and relax. Imagine you are in the director’s chair and you are writing your own screenplay. Think about today’s problems with a difference. Imagine all the changes, which until now you may have considered impossible. Think about all the improvements you can do. Do not question if it can be done or not, just imaging that everything is possible. Use your senses. Ask yourself what can you see? What sounds you can hear? Be aware of what you feel. Take responsibility for your own future by using your positive imagination.

Today I broaden the richness of life with my imagination
