Growth in Your Recovery

Problems are servants. Problems bring possibilities.

They help you grow and lead to better things,

both in your organization and within your life.

Inside every problem lies a precious opportunity to improve things.

Every challenge is nothing more than a chance to make things better.

To avoid them is to avoid growth and process.

To resist them is to decline greatness.

Embrace and get the best from the challenges in front of you.

And understand that the only people with no problems are dead

Some people treat their ED as their best friends while others hate it and feel that they have been cheated by life and dealt a very unfair hand. This is one thought, which we need to let go of and replace with looking at life as an on going education. Every day brings with it learning in some shape or form. Every day is fulfilling with its own experiences. In the process of Recovery we need to learn to change our attitude to these experiences. Instead of avoiding them we should embrace them.

Life is our college and we are all capable of graduating with flying colours. Firstly we need to be willing to be students. We cannot ditch lessons and play truant otherwise we would be missing out on valuable learning. Eating Distress teach you to play truant on life.

Recovery is the ability to let go and find news ways of coping while at the same time experiencing what life has to offer.

How can you see some of the problems and challenges in your Recovery as an opportunities for growth?
