Wake up: A Message from the Recovered

I don’t know exactly what I want to write, but I want to say something ,so at least that’s a start. Ah “at least”, what a wonderful saviour you are. I never used to like you much, but now, I really do. You give me light and perspective on times when they are challenged. Right now, I’m a fully fledged member of society, I mean, I always have been, but now I’m really enjoying the responsibility of it. Ah “responsibility”, another word I used to hear and shiver when met with it. I quite like you now, too.  You make me feel lighter and powerful. Powerful in the way, that no situation can conquer me when you are by my side. As John Kavanagh says, I either Win or Learn.

Are you winning or learning? If neither, are you fighting. What are you fighting? “They’re doing this and that”, “I’m doing this or that” or “It’s not fair”. Ok, now what are you really fighting? Are you scared? Are you afraid to let go? Are you afraid to learn and accept you are a student and not a master. Are you afraid of the idea, you may not know it all? Are you afraid you won’t be able to handle it? Don’t you know, there is magic in the unknown, when you take action that is fuelled by love, and not fear.

Wake up. Are these even your thoughts and values, or are they condition’s? Wake up. What are you holding onto and what is the condition giving you? Wake up. How long do you think you can go on like this? Wake up. Yes, your behaviours impact, influence and affects the ones you love.

Wake up. Stop fighting. Start listening. Start learning. Start living.

I mean, if you don’t like it, you can always go back.
